Terms of Service
The rules that apply when you use MIRA.
Last updated: September 5, 2026
1. About These Terms
These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your access to and use of the MIRA mobile application and related services (together, "MIRA," "we," "us"). By creating an account or otherwise using MIRA, you agree to these Terms.
2. What MIRA Is
MIRA provides tarot card readings, daily reflections, and related guidance content ("Readings") for entertainment and personal self-reflection purposes.
3. Eligibility
You must be able to form a binding contract to use MIRA, and you must meet any minimum age requirement applicable in your country and required by the Apple App Store or Google Play Store. A specific minimum age for MIRA has not yet been finalized and will be confirmed here.
4. Your Account
- You may create an account using an email address (with a one-time verification code) or Sign in with Apple, or use MIRA as a guest.
- You are responsible for keeping your verification codes and access to your email or Apple ID secure, and for all activity that occurs under your account.
- Guest accounts are tied to your specific device and app installation. If you use MIRA as a guest, uninstalling the app or switching devices may permanently disconnect you from your reading history, as there is no email or Apple ID to recover it with. We recommend signing in with email or Apple if you want to preserve access to your readings.
- You agree to provide accurate information and not to impersonate any person or misuse another person's identity when using MIRA.
5. Subscriptions & Billing
- MIRA offers optional premium subscriptions (monthly and yearly) that unlock additional Readings and features.
- All subscriptions are billed and processed by the Apple App Store or Google Play Store, depending on your device — not directly by MIRA.
- Auto-renewal: Subscriptions automatically renew at the end of each billing period unless cancelled at least 24 hours before the renewal date, in accordance with Apple's and Google's respective subscription policies.
- Cancellation: You can cancel your subscription at any time through your Apple ID or Google Play account subscription settings. Cancelling stops future renewals but does not retroactively refund the current billing period.
- Restoring purchases: If you reinstall MIRA or sign in on a new device, you can restore an active subscription using the "Restore Purchases" option in the app, linked to the same Apple ID or Google account used to purchase it.
- Refunds: All billing and refund requests are handled by Apple or Google under their respective refund policies. MIRA does not process refunds directly and cannot override store billing decisions.
6. Deleting Your Account vs. Cancelling Your Subscription
- Deleting your MIRA account (in Settings) permanently removes your account, reading history, and app data from our systems. It does not cancel any active subscription.
- Cancelling your subscription (via Apple/Google account settings) stops future billing. It does not delete your MIRA account or data.
7. Intellectual Property
MIRA, including its app design, card artwork, interpretation text, branding, and underlying software, is owned by us or our licensors and is protected by intellectual property laws. We grant you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable license to use MIRA for your personal, non-commercial use. You may not copy, modify, distribute, reverse-engineer, or create derivative works from MIRA except as permitted by applicable law.
8. Acceptable Use
You agree not to:
- Use MIRA for any unlawful purpose or in violation of these Terms;
- Attempt to abuse, automate, or circumvent our authentication or verification-code systems;
- Interfere with or disrupt the integrity or performance of MIRA or its infrastructure;
- Attempt to gain unauthorized access to another user's account or data;
- Use MIRA to harass, harm, or collect information about another real person without their consent, including through the optional name field in a Reading.
9. Service Availability & Changes
We may add, change, suspend, or discontinue any part of MIRA, including specific Readings or features, at any time. We aim to give reasonable notice of significant changes but do not guarantee uninterrupted availability of the service.
10. Disclaimers
MIRA is provided "as is" and "as available." Readings reflect an interpretive, entertainment-oriented exercise and are not predictions of fact or guarantees of any outcome. We do not warrant that MIRA will be error-free, uninterrupted, or fit for any particular purpose beyond entertainment and self-reflection.
11. Limitation of Liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, MIRA and its team will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of the app, or from decisions made in reliance on a Reading. Our total liability for any claim relating to MIRA will not exceed the amount you paid us, if any, in the twelve months before the claim arose.
12. Termination
We may suspend or terminate your access to MIRA if you violate these Terms or misuse the service. You may stop using MIRA, or delete your account, at any time as described in Section 6.
13. Governing Law
The governing law and jurisdiction for disputes relating to these Terms have not yet been finalized by the product owner and will be added here before public release.
14. Changes to These Terms
We may update these Terms from time to time. If we make material changes, we will update the "Last updated" date above and, where appropriate, notify you in the app.
